Senior React Native Developer

Scrambly is a fast-growing Italy-based tech startup operating in the performance marketing and rewarded advertising space. Our B2C platform helps users discover and test new apps, games, and services - and get rewarded for it. With millions of installs across the US, Japan, and South Korea, we’re focused on scaling our mobile product and building a seamless user experience.
Our initial mobile app was built entirely from scratch by one developer. Now we’re entering an exciting new phase, and we’re looking for a passionate and skilled developer to take over ownership, lead our growing mobile team, and help build a world-class product portfolio.

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will participate in the active development processes, take part in forming the roadmap of our mobile application and driving technical strategy. You’ll also help us manage current mobile devs and hire new ones.
This is a high-ownership opportunity for someone who wants to build and scale both product and team. You’ll collaborate closely with product, backend, design, and data, and help shape the long-term mobile direction at Scrambly.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and technical direction of our app portfolio

• Build and launch new products

• Make architectural decisions to ensure scalability and performance.

• Actively contribute code, reviews, and best practices

• Manage and mentor one mobile developer (and help hire future team members)

• Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers

• Set up and maintain efficient dev workflows (CI/CD, testing, code quality)

• Ensure mobile app stability, performance, and uptime at scale

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team development

• Shape the future of mobile development at Scrambly, influencing both technical strategy and team growth.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development with React Native

• Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers (formal or informal)

• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux

• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and lifecycle

• Experience with A/B testing

• Experience with native modules

• Excellent written and spoken English communication

• High level of autonomy, accountability, and ownership

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kotlin/Java/Objective-C/Swift.

• Experience scaling teams from 1–2 to 5+ engineers
